About LCCCT

LCC Community Trust (LCCCT) started out as a church founded in 1999 when Pastors Brian and Mary Agnew felt called to establish a church in Lisburn that would reach people from all backgrounds. Initially named Kingdom Life City Church, the mission was to connect with those without prior ties to church or faith. In 2012, reflecting on the church’s impact, they asked, “If we closed tomorrow, would the community miss us?” This question inspired a deeper commitment to serve Lisburn meaningfully.

In 2013, Lisburn Foodbank was launched, soon followed by other community initiatives. Renamed Lisburn City Church in 2014, the organisation evolved into LCC Community Trust, officially recognised in 2015. Guided by the principle of offering a “hand-up, not just a hand-out,” LCCCT introduced the KickStart Social Supermarket in 2017. The Trust’s dedication to the community earned it the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2018.

LCC Community Trust supports the Lisburn community in times of crisis, meeting physical, mental, emotional, financial, and spiritual needs. We serve people from diverse backgrounds, including low-income families, the homeless, and BAME communities. Our initiatives include the Lisburn Foodbank, Kickstart social supermarket, community money advice and life-skills workshops. At Inspire Café, we host Tiny Tots, community lunches, workshops, bible studies and peer advocacy groups, creating a place to belong within our community. Since its founding, LCCCT has supported over 10,000 individuals, creating a legacy of lasting impact and ensuring its place at the heart of the community.

Now we know that if we closed our doors tomorrow the community definitely would miss us!
