A Big Welcome to New Members of Our Team
At LCC Community Trust, we are in no doubt that our work is only possible because of the staff and volunteer team behind it: so many individuals with a shared heart and passion for serving others. That’s why we’re so pleased to welcome three new members of staff who are already bringing fresh energy and strength to our mission.
Fiona Irwin, Julie Divers, and Lisa Currie have recently joined us in key roles across the Trust, and each one brings something unique to the table. Together, they strengthen our capacity to meet the needs of the Lisburn and Castlereagh community with compassion and practical support.
Let us introduce you.
Fiona Irwin – Outreach and Food Coordinator
We’re excited to welcome Fiona Irwin, who joins us as our Outreach and Food Coordinator.
This role is a game changer for our work, and Fiona is the perfect person to lead it. As we take our Social Supermarket programme on the road, Fiona will be bringing support directly to people in neighbourhoods across Lisburn and Castlereagh, reaching new communities and offering real help at the right time. She’s all about providing practical help while also providing the relational encouragement that helps people move forward.
“There’s something powerful about meeting people where they are,” Fiona says. “It’s not just about food, it’s about hope. When someone feels seen and supported, it changes everything.”
We couldn’t agree more, and we’re excited to see the impact Fiona’s work will have as we expand our reach beyond our buildings to people that we haven’t been able to reach before.
Julie Divers – Social Supermarket Manager
Julie Divers has stepped into the role of Social Supermarket Manager, and her heart for community is unmistakable.
With experience in both community engagement and food-based programmes, Julie understands that the Social Supermarket is about far more than groceries, it’s about dignity for people and building trusted relationships. Under her leadership, Julie wants the Social Supermarket to grow as a place of welcome and support for people facing difficult seasons, a place where they feel seen and respected.
She’s joined a dedicated team already making a difference in Lisburn, and she’s eager to continue that work while shaping new ways to serve and support families in our community.
Lisa Currie – Bookkeeper
Lisa joined the team as our new Bookkeeper, and it didn’t take long for us to see the impact of her work.
Lisa brings a sharp eye for detail to our financial operations. Her role ensures we steward our resources well, so every donation and funding pot is used well to do the work we do on the ground.
In her own words, the thing Lisa’s most looking forward to in this role is “connecting with the people who make the Trust what it is, from the staff and volunteers to the service users.” She’s passionate about being part of something that matters, and in a recent video she shared her top productivity tip: starting her day with a to-do list to help her stay focussed. It’s a simple approach – but it works.
Strengthening Our Mission Together
Welcoming Lisa, Julie and Fiona to the LCC Community Trust team is more than just growing our staff list. It’s a reflection of how we are growing our mission to reach more people who are struggling in our local community. If you see Lisa, Julie or Fiona around, please make sure to tell them that you are glad they are here!
